At Star Sweepers, we’ve always believed that every baby has the right to safe, restful sleep — and that every parent deserves the peace of mind that comes with it.
Through years of working with trusted safe sleep solutions, including the ergoPouch range, we’ve seen firsthand the difference it makes when parents feel confident that their little one is sleeping safely. That peace of mind is powerful — and it became the foundation of everything we set out to do next.
When we launched the ergoPouch ellska Skye Cot — one of less than a handful of safety-tested cots available in South Africa — we were driven by a simple but important question:

The answer was clear — it didn’t exist locally.
We explored international options, but quickly realised that accessibility mattered just as much as safety and pricing would make it difficult for many families to benefit from truly safe sleep solutions. And so, the journey began.
